![]() If he is driving a car he gets balls when making stunts like driving on the wrong side of the road or dodging an incoming car.Īs in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the player is free to roam the city of Miami and there are also some side-missions with racing events. Tony also gets health when killing someone in this mode. Once this is full he can enter a kind of god mode in which he is invulnerable and has unlimited ammo. ![]() The enemies have different target zones which give a different amount of balls on a hit. Respect is earned by increasing Tony's territory, buying exotics and earning "balls" in fights and while driving. When talking with a dealer or trying to get cop heat down, the player has to play a mini-game that determines if Tony is successful and if so, how much he gets for the drugs or how much heat he loses. He then can buy "exotics" for his mansion like an expensive vase or a new car with a driver. To completely overtake one part of town, all the enemy gangs scattered around in small groups must be eliminated.Īfter a deal, Tony has to launder the money at the local bank and have it transferred to his account. By overtaking "Fronts", Tony also increases his control over the current district of Miami. Eventually, however, Tony can set up so-called "Fronts" which are legitimate shops (like a car seller) in which drugs are sold in very large amounts. At the beginning the stuff is bought in small amounts and personally sold to the dealers. The only way to earn money in Miami is to deal drugs. To do so, he has to earn money and respect. But Tony wouldn't be Tony Montana if he would just give up, so it is the player's goal to reclaim Miami once again. The game now puts the player in the shoes of Tony a few moments before the gang hits his office.Īfter he successfully defends his mansion, his empire lies in ruins. This is the story of the 1983 movie Scarface in which Tony Montana dies during a attack from a rival gang on his mansion at the end. Overall, I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to play a great GTA clone or a great licensed game in general.Miami in the '80s: gangs, drugs and hookers dominate the scene and a Cuban called Tony Montana rises up to be the most powerful drug dealer, controlling the whole of Miami. You can even maul enemies to death with a chainsaw, and people even get eaten alive by tigers and sharks. While in GTA 3 and Vice City, you have the ability to shoot people's heads off and even chop them off with a katana but that's it, in Scarface: The World Is Yours, you have the ability to blow your enemies' limbs and even heads off with your guns, causing blood and chunks to get all over the place. Another thing about this game is that it's even more violent and gorier than the GTA games. ![]() The PS2 and Xbox versions actually have a lot more to offer than the PC version, such as blood getting all over Tony's clothes when he gets wounded, but the graphics have been largely improved here. It kinda reminds me of an early version of Grand Theft Auto IV. One thing I'd like to point out about this game is that the graphics look amazing for their time, especially on PC. Anyways, this follows up to where the original film from 1983 ending, making this game an alternative ending where Tony Montana survives the shootout and his out to rebuild his empire and get revenge on his rival, Sosa. It also has a feature essential to the plot where you have to take control of a mafia empire in Miami. I honestly do consider this one better than The Simpsons: Hit and Run (Surprisingly, both games were developed by the same company and published by the same company as well) as it has more features, especially more of the ones originated from GTA. Yep, I'm playing another licensed GTA clone. Original upload date: September 10, 2019. WARNING: This video contains graphic violence and language not suitable for children under 17.
